અમે – “કાકુ”
નવી ઓઢણીમાં નવરંગ ભાત,પાલવે આભલા ટાંક્યા
આયનાએ આંખ મારી, ને લાલ-ગુલાલ શરમાયા!
બારસાખને તોરણ અમે મોતી થઇને પરોવાયા,
ઉંચી મેડીને દિવડે અમે દિવેલ થઇને પુરાયા
ઇશારે ઇશારે અમે થોડુ ઉગ્યા ને થોડુ આથમ્યા
પરોણાએ પુછાયા, ને પગલે પગલે પરખાયા
અપેક્ષાએ ઉણા ઉતર્યા,તો અમે સાવે પરાયા
રેશમી રેશમી અમે કેસરી કેસરી કરમાયા!
પીયરની ચુંદડી ઓઢી અમે સોનાની શૈયામાં સુતા
આયનાએ કરી આંખ બંધ ને અમે કાચમાં મલકાયા.
